In a society that cares, increasingly, with their quality of life, alternative or complementary therapies are gaining a growing space. Among these techniques, we have auricular acupuncture or auriculotherapy.
The auriculotherapy is a technique of traditional Chinese medicine that uses the ear pavilion to perform the treatment, taking advantage of the reflection of the specific auricular points have on the central nervous system, used to promote energy balance or to improve sports performance. In addition, the ear pavilion has micromeridian energy and, when stimulated is capable of restoring the energy flow body. Using the reflex points of the existing body in the ear, auricular acupuncture is a technique that can be used on people of all ages, even in infants. For the stimulation of points we can use mustard seeds, semi-permanent needles or threadlike needles.
For physical activity, the muscles must be well nourished with Xue (Blood) and Qi (energy) has to be flowing properly. For this, stimulation of auricular points toning the organs that produce Xue to maintain the free flow of energy, (Spleen, Kidney, Liver, Heart and Lung), can improve performance in any physical activity.
